amazing list, added so many book on my TBR ✨ Anais Nin is one of my eternal loves. Read all her books and whenever I write a steamy scene I think about Little birds and how masterful she was with a few words giving me the hots even decades later. She was erotica embodied ❤️🔥
This found me at the perfect time. I slowly will be making my way through The Second Sex, so seeing it here made me really happy. Ive been building a kind of personal curriculum around women using their desire to become the authors of their own lives, and this list fits that so beautifully.
I own My Dark Vanessa, but I’ve been nervous to pick it up as someone who was groomed and, like Vanessa, had that AHA moment when my frontal lobe suddenly developed and I was horrified at the escalation of abuse. lol I’ve heard it’s incredibly powerful though, and I’m holding it as a book I’ll read when I feel ready.
