A lovely list 🥰

I definitely recommend Labyrinth, Fantaghiro, A Little Princess, and The Little Mermaid (1976) !

I would recommend The Lovely Bones, it touches a very disturbing subject from the innocent perspective of a girl who is in a very ethereal different plane of reality. Also the soundtrack is great, Liz Fraser makes it magical

“Atonement” always makes me cry sooo much. I think I watched it 3/4 times and cried a lot every time.

“Picnic at Hanging Rock”… amazing atmosphere, so iconic.

such a good list! The Secret Garden was a favourite of mine growing up and I completely forgot about Donkey Skin until seeing the pics of it here, such a nice throwback. does anyone know where they're available to watch? I've tried YouTube since they sometimes have old movies in full, but couldn't find many.

THANK YOU!! All of these look freaking amazing and I cannot wait to watch them in the bathtub with a glass of wine as that seems to be the vibe. As a fairy tale enthusiast, I have always been fascinated by the Donkeyskin tales, but never knew they made a movie version - I need to watch it right away! Thank you!

this is definitely the scenery in which you should watch this cinema! Catherine Deneuve was in ‘Donkey skin’, so that's another reason to see it, hope you enjoy watching it!
